Availability Window: Sun 17:00:00‑23:00:00, Tue 19:00:00‑23:00:00, Wed 16:00:00‑23:00:00, Thu 10:00:00‑16:00:00, Sat 16:00:00‑23:00:00.

Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £14.18 an hour; this increases to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. If you prefer fewer hours (a minimum of 12), we also have opportunities for this.

The table shows the periods of time in the week we'd like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you'll have 3 weeks' notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility: if the times you are available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we'd still love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the van and trays used are clean and kept tidy/organised.
  • Leave the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish, and pick up litter as seen.
  • Ensure trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.
  • Load the van as required, checking the van for roadworthiness.
  • Talk to the customer about any changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions, offering a refund for anything they are unhappy with.
  • Take care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
  • Explain to the customer that they will not be charged any more for their substitutions.
  • Deliver during the customer's time slot.
  • Call the customer before arriving at their property if early.
  • Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, working together to make sure our store is the best it can be for customers.
  • Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say thank you.
  • Act quickly to respond to the changing needs of our customers and embrace change within the store.
  • Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right.
  • Share ideas with the Manager and other colleagues on how to improve the store for customers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Minimum required age: must have passed the school leavers' age.
  • For roles that require working before 6:15 a.m. or after 9:45 p.m. or involve working in areas such as the warehouse, beers, wines and spirits, counters, bakery and driving roles, candidates must be over 18.
