Pay and Hours: Basic rate £14.18 per hour; increases to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. Our policy offers a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with options down to a minimum of 12 hours.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the van and trays used are clean and kept tidy/organised.
- Leave the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish; pick up litter as seen.
- Ensure trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.
- Load the van as required and check it for roadworthiness.
- Talk to the customer about any changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions, offering a refund for anything they are unhappy with.
- Take care of products/deliveries as if they were my own.
- Explain to the customer that they will not be charged any more for their substitutions.
- Deliver during the customer's time slot.
- Call the customer before arriving if early.
- Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
- Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, working together to make sure our store is the best it can be for customers.
- Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say 'Thank you.'
- Act quickly to respond to the changing needs of our customers and embrace change within our store.
- Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right for me.
- Share ideas with my manager and other colleagues on how we can improve our store for customers.
- Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
Additional Eligibility: Applicants must be over 18 at the time of application. Applicants may be considered under 18 only if the role involves working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or in areas such as the warehouse, stocks, bakery, or driving roles.
Work Notice: You will receive 3 weeks' notice of exactly when your shifts are scheduled.
