Availability Window: Mon 19:00 – 23:00, Wed 18:00 – 22:00, Fri 14:00 – 22:00, Sat 14:00 – 22:00.

Pay and Hours: Hourly rate starts from £14.18, increasing to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply. Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; you may work as few as 12 hours if that suits you. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows, with 3 weeks’ notice of the exact shift times.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the van and tote trays are clean, tidy and organised.
  • Keep the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish, and pick up litter as you see it.
  • Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
  • Load the van as required and check the van for roadworthiness.
  • Communicate with customers about any changes to their order, including short‑code items and substitutions, and offer a refund for items they are unhappy with.
  • Treat products and deliveries as if they were your own.
  • Explain to the customer that they will not be charged any more for their substitutions.
  • Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
  • Call the customer before arriving at their property if early.
  • Call the store or centre if you are 30 minutes or more late.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and support the store’s best service for customers.
  • Be warm and welcoming in all interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say thank you.
  • Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
  • Display energy and drive to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work to achieve a suitable balance.
  • Share ideas with your Manager and other colleagues about improving the store for customers.

Qualifications: A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic only) with at least 12 months of driving history and no more than 3 penalty points.

Eligibility: Must be over the age of 18, unless the role requires working before 06:15 am or after 09:45 pm, or involves specific warehouse, beverage or counter duties. Must have passed the school leaver’s age for your country (check local regulations).
