Availability Window: Days from time to time: Wed 16:00–22:00, Thu 17:00–23:00, Fri 16:00–22:00, Sat 16:00–22:00. The role will be scheduled within these windows and you will have three weeks' notice for your shifts. Flexibility is welcomed if your availability is close to the advertised time.

Pay: starts from £14.18 per hour, increasing to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with options for fewer hours (minimum 12).

Role Overview: Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will deliver groceries from Lands’ End to John O’Groats and interact with customers daily. This role is more than driving; it involves delivering great service and a smile.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure van and trays are clean and tidy.
  • Keep the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish, picking up litter.
  • Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
  • Load van and check roadworthiness.
  • Manage changes to orders, refunds, etc.
  • Treat products and deliveries as if your own.
  • Explain substitution charges to customers.
  • Deliver within customer time slot.
  • Call customer if arriving early.
  • Call store if running 30 minutes or more late.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
  • Be warm and welcoming, thank customers.
  • Respond quickly to changing customer needs.
  • Be energetic, driven, and integrate home/work balance.
  • Share ideas with manager and colleagues to improve store.

Qualifications: A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic) with at least 12 months licence, no more than 3 penalty points.

Additional requirements: Must have passed school leaver’s age. Candidates over 18 only if required to work before 6:15 am, after 9:45 pm, or in areas such as warehouse, beer/wine/spirits, counters, bakery, and driving roles.
