Pay and Hours
Our Phone Shop colleague rate of pay starts from £13.70 an hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; you may choose fewer hours to a minimum of 12. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows, and you will receive a three-week notice of your shifts. We support flexibility when your availability closely matches advertised windows.
Responsibilities
- Be a colleague in our store, helping to serve shoppers better every day.
- Deliver a great shopping experience for customers each day, following opening and closing routines, ensuring all facilities are in good working order, and listening for and acting on customer feedback.
- Create a welcoming impression, role-model great standards of dress, and be ready to serve customers.
- Follow the service culture in your department, role-model helpful and friendly service behaviours, and demonstrate enthusiasm to do what’s right for customers.
- Protect the legal brand by delivering legal compliance, understanding all safe and legal routines, and demonstrating due diligence in your department.
- Support your manager in controlling costs, delivering budgets, maintaining stock record accuracy, and preparing for stock control routines.

Eligibility and Legal
Tesco will only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. If the role requires working before 6:15am, after 9:45pm, or in areas such as the warehouse, beer, wine & spirits, counters, bakery, or driving roles, candidates must be over 18.
