Availability Window: Mon 15:00 – 22:00, Wed 15:00 – 22:00, Sat 08:00 – 18:00

Pay: Our Tesco colleague rate starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

Hours Guarantee: It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we also have opportunities for this.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride; give great natural service.
  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within your store.
  • Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
  • Apply training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
  • Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet their needs at the right time.
  • Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
  • Be knowledgeable about store performance, understand your role and drive service and sales, reduce waste and shrink and deliver profit.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.

  • Accept deliveries into the store when required.

Legal and Eligibility: We recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. Minimum age requirements apply for certain shifts and roles, such as working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, or in areas like the warehouse, beer/wine/spirits, counters, bakery and driving roles. Candidates over the age of 18 are eligible for positions requiring such schedules.
