Availability Window

  • Days: Sun 13:00 - 18:00
  • Tue 10:00 - 15:30
  • Wed 18:00 - 21:00

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills. We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but you may also work fewer hours (min. 12) if that suits you better. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and give you three weeks’ notice of when your shifts will be. If your availability closely matches our slots, we are happy to consider flexibility.

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within my store.
  • Putting into practice the training you have received, so we all work safely, effectively and serve our customers brilliantly.
  • Dealing with customer complaints and feedback in a professional manner, always sending customers home happy.
  • Accurately recording any customer details and treating this information confidentially.
  • Carrying out safe and legal checks on the desk that you are trained for, reporting any next steps to the Shift Leader/Team Manager.
  • Recording and disposing of waste in a responsible manner, including following food waste and recycling routines.
  • Accurately recording and processing returned items from customers.
  • Signing in visitors, ensuring they are aware of the health, safety and fire procedures for the store.
  • Controlling keys that may be stored at the desk correctly.
  • Liaising with Shift Leaders, Managers and Security, communicating clearly.
  • Taking part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
  • Working across the store in our service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
  • Being yourself, living our values, making everyone feel welcome and always following our policies.
