Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. It's our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we'd like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you'll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues; therefore if the times you are available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we would still love to hear from you.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of customers and passion for service.
- Good knowledge of products and services in the store.

- Understanding of store operations and the ability to support stock control, replenishment and customer service.
- Experience or willingness to learn about inventory handling, shrink management and profit contribution.
- Passion for the role of a Tesco colleague and the ability to act as a brand ambassador.
- Ability to work and make decisions for customers at all times, including during high volumes of activity.
Tesco will only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. Only candidates over the age of 18 may be considered for roles that require working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or involve working in areas such as the warehouse, beers, wines and spirits, counters, bakery and driving roles.
