Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week; you may also work fewer hours (minimum 12) if desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve and greet customers with passion and pride, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
• Build rapport with customers to leave them satisfied with their visit.
• Make decisions that benefit customers and adhere to store routines and safety.
• Handle product logistics: picking, replenishment, and receiving deliveries.
• Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Apply training and store policies to maintain quality, reduce waste, shrink, and drive profit.
• Support the team, maintaining a professional appearance and representing Tesco as a brand ambassador.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a friendly, approachable manner.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate openly.
• Initiative to make customer‑centric decisions and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented for shifts.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to store procedures and product knowledge.
