Our Trade Planning team partners with Buying and Merchandising to deliver exciting, market-leading ranges and promotions that showcase fantastic products and great value for our customers. In this role, you will support the Trade Planning Manager to shape the Home promotional plan - planning and delivering promotions on time, reporting with accuracy, and working across multiple functions to make it all happen. Responsibilities:
- A key part of the Home team, supporting with trade, promotional and events planning for my category, ensuring we deliver a great proposition for our customers.
- Supporting my manager with the delivery of the category trade and events plan.
- Delivering accurate weekly trade figures and commentary for all Home promotional & event space and presenting trade at team meetings.
- Circulating product performance data to the category team, ensuring all documentation is up to date and accessible.
- Creating promotional review and launch documents & conducting analysis to recommend continuous improvements for forthcoming promotional cycles.
- Using different sources to review performance; internal reporting of sales, stock, margin; market analysis - drivers/drainers vs IRI; competitive pricing vs market.
- Monitor competitor activity to ensure we are offering the best trade plan for our customers.
- Recommending improvements to the promotional programme with a focus on simplicity for stores, commercial relevance, and great value for customers.
- Owning promotions for a defined product area, ensuring critical path is adhered to and communicating and scheduling relevant meetings with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Being a point of contact for the General Merchandise events ensuring that products & execution is right for customer.
- Ensuring critical path is met and contributing in NWTs.
- Collating nominations for promotional space and loading successful nominations into reporting systems.
- Leading weekly set up meetings to ensure excellent availability for promotional launches.
- Liaising with the Home Supply Chain team and Retail teams to ensure smooth implementation of trade plans and great customer experience.
- Supporting the roll out of new projects & initiatives.
- Liaising with the Central Events team, keeping the plan aligned with the critical path.
- Signing off the required POS on Home trade plans by category.
- Ensuring all key initiatives are communicated clearly to customers and stores.
- Using Yammer to collate feedback from stores.
- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Data analysis and numeracy.
- MS Office (especially Excel).
- Clear communication (including presentation skills).
- Flexibility, ability to plan and organise, responsiveness, creativity, self-starter.
- Able to build solid working relationships with peers and senior leadership.
- Ability to demonstrate strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organisation.
