Opportunity
We’re recruiting for a Supplier Relationship Manager to join our Outsourcing & Supply Chain Management team on a 6 month fixed term contract. Driving compliance with our Outsourcing & Supply Chain Management framework alongside commercial value, to achieve Tesco’s Big 6 Objectives. The successful candidate will strengthen and manage critical relationships in supporting our Motor Claims operations to ensure positive outcomes for our customers.
In this relationship manager role, you’ll be responsible for managing the governance of the services provided by third-party suppliers. You’ll ensure continued strengthening of external relationships and that ongoing governance of services is operating successfully and efficiently.
The Role
- Fully understanding the services provided by third parties to Tesco Insurance and Money Services, engaging relevant internal stakeholders and report on performance, service, and risk exposures.
- Ensuring appropriate governance of the services provided by third parties to maintain and update the management framework and ensure adherence in BAU.
- Liaising with key business areas for on budget forecasting and queries on actuals.
- Managing business services and ensuring they are regularly reviewed, and updates are made in line with the appropriate contract approval process.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in service processing, and adherence to Outsourcing & Supply Chain Management framework.
- Improvement / Innovation: Identifying shortcomings and improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures, and ensuring delivery of efficiency outcomes.
You’ll Need (min exp)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment helping to deliver record breaking growth responding to the needs of the business and market changes.
- Demonstrate passion for supplier management and or with a background in client relationship management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate across various levels of the business, as well as growing relationships.
- Experience of managing motor supplier partners including their impact within the supply chain and motor claims operations is advantageous but not essential for this FTC.
- Adaptability to changing priorities, able to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency and high energy.
- Identifying contract efficiencies required and managing these through to approval.
- Identifying and evaluating risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated, escalating where appropriate.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Experience in driving performance in line with Contractual SLAs, KPIs/service measures and MI/reporting.

- Knowledge of FCA/PRA regulations relating to outsourcing and supplier activity is desirable.
