Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to one of our offices, preferably Edinburgh, 2 days per week for this position.

Role
We’re looking for a Finance Risk & Control Manager (known internally as a Control Assurance Manager) to join our Insurance and Money Services team. The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting the Finance Leadership Team (including Legal & Procurement) in embedding a strong risk management culture across the function. This role will sit within the TPF Financial Control team, while also providing support to the broader Finance Function. Key stakeholders will include the Head of Financial Control, Chief Financial Officer, other members of the FLT and Tesco Group.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide support to FLT members and all teams across Finance to ensure that risks and controls are appropriately documented and assessed to the required standards.
- Own the requirements around our integration with the Tesco Group ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting) programme. Become key contact point both internally and with Tesco Group.
- Responsible for completing testing on relevant controls to the required standard, identifying improvements and working closely with control owners to support implementation.
- Become the key point of contact for Finance with the IMS Risk team.
- Coordinate all other risk requirements across the function e.g. Policies, Business Continuity Plans.
- Develop concise and effective management reporting to ensure the CFO and FLT are fully aware of risk and control status, upcoming requirements and any actions needed.
What we need you to have:
- External audit, internal audit and/or risk management experience.
- Experience of SOX/ICFR frameworks and requirements.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience managing all levels of stakeholders, in particular senior stakeholders.
- Experience in report writing and providing concise and relevant MI.
- Ability to work independently.

- Experience of financial reporting controls.
- Professional accounting qualification.
