We\’re looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Insurance Money and Services team.
You\’ll have the opportunity to help shape the success of the Tesco Insurance Products and use the unique opportunity Tesco Insurance has as part of the wider Tesco group. You\’ll be closely working with our senior leadership team and influencing our future ways of working. You\’ll be leading Trade management and Commercial initiatives for Tesco\’s Motor Insurance products.

You\’ll be working alongside our wider Insurance teams and Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager within the Motor Team.
What you\’ll be doing
- Trade management of the Motor Insurance Products including analysis of run rates collaborating across the IMS functions to investigate and improve trading performance
- Commercial planning & Forecasting including annual planning process including Benefit Realisation – being responsible for evaluating and tracking business benefits through post implementation reviews.
- Creating a roadmap for Motor Insurance Products and initiative delivery working with existing functions to drive the Motor Insurance P&L
- Collaborating with the wider teams such as Marketing, Pricing, Operations and Finance to collate and size market opportunities and threats to bring forward ideas to deliver benefit for customers and our business
We need you to have
- Commercial acumen & knowledge of the General Insurance Market (Preferably Motor Insurance) – understanding the business environment and objectives to develop solutions without supervision & confidence with making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
- Ability to work efficiently within Microsoft Office Applications including Excel & PowerPoint to create relevant and effective reports using various data sources, analysing data trends to help guide decision making.
- Experience in Trade and Performance management & Annual Planning Process preferably within General Insurance Products
- Experience working with data to drive insight led decision making including market research and analysis.
- Understanding of Risk and Controls management within a regulated industry and demonstrate ability to deliver customer centric solutions
