Office Attendance – Our roles are hybrid, however you need to travel to our Reigate office 2 days per week for this role.

Opportunity

We’re recruiting Pricing Managers – Protect (South) within our Motor Risk Pricing team in Reigate. This team looks after the technical and live claims cost models, identifies and assesses new data sources, monitors the day-to-day performance of the portfolio and regularly proposes price changes based on emerging experience. We pride ourselves on our agile, varied and collaborative environment.

The Role

  • Maintaining the technical claim cost pricing models ensuring accuracy and stability are considered.
  • Assess the value and impact of new data sources.
  • Developing the suite of model monitoring reports to identify trends at the earliest opportunity.
  • Bringing price proposals to the appropriate forums for discussion and approval, ensuring the customer is considered.
  • Working closely with your retail pricing counterparts to deliver good end to end outcomes.
  • Line management for two analysts.

What you’ll bring (min criteria)

  • Strong theoretical and practical understanding of Personal Lines pricing.
  • Deep knowledge and experience of modelling techniques – principally GLM and GBM.
  • Prior experience of using insurance pricing software, e.g. Radar.
  • Knowledge of programming languages e.g., SAS, R, and Python.
  • Great attention to detail and an analytical mentality.
