About the role

Salary – Salary is from £29K+ annual bonus & benefits

Work Level - 1

Location – Reigate (blended working)

Industry Placement: Fixed Term Contract – 10 months

Office Attendance- Our roles are hybrid, however you should be able to travel to our Reigate office, 2 days per week for this position.

Are you seeking an exciting chance to earn as you gain new skills? We’re looking for an undergraduate student working towards a relevant numerate degree to work as a Pricing Analyst in our insurance pricing teams in Reigate on a 10-month placement starting Monday 1st September 2025 for the duration of the academic year (placement finishing on 1st July 2026).

In this highly technical and specialised role you will support the insurance business by analysing pricing trends, building predictive models, monitoring the performance of the business, and identifying areas of opportunity for growth and profitability. You’ll work in a team of Pricing Analysts and experience a variety of responsibilities to immerse yourself in our 10-month placement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building predictive models and utilising Data Science tools to provide insight into insurance pricing.
  • Delivering high quality analysis to support pricing changes and business opportunities.
  • Monitoring the emerging performance across the portfolio to identify areas of focus.
  • Implementing the use of new statistical analyses, machine learning and automation to improve processes.
  • Communicating the results of the modelling and analytical work effectively in non-technical language to peers and stakeholders.
  • Keeping knowledge and skills up to date and driving your own personal development.

We need you to have (min experience)

  • You’ll be working towards a degree in a numerical subject on track for a 2:1 degree.
  • An interest in insurance pricing & in the UK personal lines insurance market.
  • Highly computer literate; able to use Excel and other common data analysis and data processing/modelling software.
  • Strong appetite and ability to research new modelling techniques using a range of tools including R and Python.
  • Good organisational skills; able to deliver tasks within agreed timescales.
  • Ability to work as part of a team; fostering positive relationships and providing mutual support and guidance.
  • Customer centric; focused on the delivery of high levels of customer service.
