Salary: Starting from £25,000 (entry level) - £26,000 (depending on experience) + annual bonus

Team: Claims Customer Services

Start date: Monday 19th January 2026

Location: Newcastle - Longbenton Office

Shift: Mon-Fri 08:00 -20:00, with 2 in 8 weekend shift rotation. Training will be Monday to Friday 09:00 -17:00 in the Office.

Working Pattern: Office-based initially, with hybrid working available upon achieving competence (typically after probation is passed)

Opportunity

Our colleagues in the Claims team support Tesco customers with their home and motor insurance claims. We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join us as Multi-Product Claims Handlers. You will guide customers through each step of the process - from the first notification of loss to a fair and timely resolution.

Your role will include:

  • Gathering and recording accurate information to progress claims efficiently
  • Assessing each case carefully and making fair decisions based on the facts
  • Keeping customers updated and managing their expectations throughout
  • Arranging repairs, mobility support, or replacements through our trusted partners
  • Handling queries and resolving issues with empathy and professionalism

The Role responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of claims across motor, home, and support customers with post-claim service calls to support closure of the claim.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring empathy and professionalism in every interaction.
  • Accurately assess claims and manage indemnity spend in line with company standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve claims efficiently and compliantly.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims function.

You will need (min exp)

  • Strong communication and proven 6 months of customer service skills.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous home product and Claims handling experience is desirable but not essential - training will be provided.
