Role Overview
Bring together data from a variety of sources to deliver meaningful business stories on how our customers choose to pay and the performance of our payments ecosystem. Collaborate closely with other teams, analyze datasets to surface insights and opportunities for improvement to drive a best-in-class customer experience and strong commercial outcomes. Help build a modern payments ecosystem for Tesco Insurance & Money Services, shaping how insight supports business decisions and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Data collection and management: work closely with Product, Operations, Finance, Digital Analytics, and external partners to ensure consistent and accurate data collection across the payment ecosystem.
- Data integration and manipulation: identify, import, clean, and structure file-based datasets from payment service providers, website analytics tools, and CRM systems, interpreting and combining them to create a complete picture of payment performance.
- Data analysis and interpretation: lead in-depth analysis of payment outcomes and user behaviour to derive actionable insights. Produce adâhoc analysis to support investigations, inform decisionâmaking, and identify highâimpact growth opportunities.
- Reporting and visualisation: develop and maintain payment dashboards and performance scorecards covering all payment channels, defining and monitoring key performance indicators. Use data visualisation tools to present complex data in an understandable and accessible manner.
- Operational growth and development: support continuous development of our data processes, analysis methodology, and use of tools and technology in a fastâpaced industry, whilst adhering to data security and customer privacy.
Qualifications
- Data Analytics or Insight experience, within payments, eâcommerce, or financial services.
- Experience interpreting, merging, and analysing data from multiple, unconnected systems.
- Strong communication skills, demonstrating an ability to communicate analysis and insights to a range of audiences across the business.
- Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Strong commercial acumen, demonstrating a sound understanding of business objectives and ability to align plans to these.
- Familiarity with website analytics tools and customer journey measurement (Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics).
- Ability to prioritise and work in a fastâpaced organisation, prioritising individual and team backlogs on activity that adds the most value.
Additional Skills (even better)
- Experience with payment service providers and associated data and reporting.
- Previous experience in the Insurance or wider financial services sector, or experience within subscriptionâbased eâcommerce.
- Experience using SQL, Python, and/or R to manipulate and visualise data.
- Familiarity with data pipelines/ETL tools, automated reporting, APIs.
