OverviewWe are looking for a Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our Risk team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc. The role focuses on ensuring regulatory and economic capital calculations are accurate, supporting internal and external reporting, and providing oversight of portfolio risk.
Responsibilities
Calculate regulatory and economic capital, including Risk‐Weighted Assets (RWAs), to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
Develop, calibrate and implement credit risk models (PD & LGD) across borrower segments and products.
Build and apply quantitative tools to forecast credit losses and assess portfolio risk under varying economic conditions.
Conduct stress‐testing exercises to evaluate the impact of market and macroeconomic scenarios on regulatory capital.
Analyse credit trends and early‐warning indicators, assessing implications of economic developments on portfolio performance.
Manage credit‐risk data and deliver accurate, timely reporting to internal committees and external regulators.
Engage with senior stakeholders—both technical and non‐technical—to present findings in a clear, compelling manner.
Qualifications
Experience conducting complex analyses using diverse data sources, using data‐processing software such as SAS, SQL, Python, etc.
Strong stakeholder‐engagement skills: communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
Operational insight: understand how different business areas contribute to broader organisational objectives.
Project‐management skills: manage collaborative assignments, identify cross‐functional needs, and shape project direction.
Desired Skills (Nice to Have)
Knowledge of credit‐risk management in retail lending.
Familiarity with capital regulatory standards (CRDIV).
Understanding of impairment provisioning standards (IFRS9).
Experience with forecasting, portfolio risk management, and risk‐modelling techniques.
