As part of Tes Institute, our accredited teacher training and development organisation, we're looking for an exceptional educational leader to join us as Director of Programme Delivery.
This is a high-impact leadership role, responsible for overseeing and growing a diverse portfolio of teacher training and professional development programmes. You'll combine strategic leadership, operational excellence and sector expertise to ensure outstanding outcomes for learners while helping shape the future direction of teacher training both in the UK and internationally.
Working closely with the Director of Tes Institute and wider leadership team, you'll lead programme quality, drive innovation, develop high-performing teams and act as a credible voice within the education sector.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the strategic and operational delivery of Tes Institute's teacher training and professional development programmes.
- Shape the future growth of our programme portfolio, identifying opportunities to expand and strengthen our offering.
- Lead and develop Heads of Programme Delivery, building capability and ensuring excellence across programme delivery.
- Champion learner engagement, satisfaction and outcomes at every stage of the learner journey.
- Represent Tes Institute externally with schools, trusts, regulatory bodies and education partners.
- Contribute to thought leadership around teacher training, professional development and education policy.
- Work collaboratively across Tes to ensure programmes are innovative, impactful and commercially sustainable.
- Drive quality, compliance and continuous improvement across a growing international portfolio.
What we're looking for:
- You'll be a highly experienced education leader with a strong track record of delivering and improving teacher training or professional development programmes at scale.
- Significant leadership experience across teaching, learning, curriculum and programme delivery.
- Deep understanding of teacher training pathways and professional development.
- Experience leading through inspection and regulatory frameworks, including Ofsted.
- Proven success in developing leaders and building high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience identifying growth opportunities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- A passion for improving educational outcomes and supporting educators throughout their careers.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- NPQH, NPQEL, NPQTLD, Master's or PhD.
