Role overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead marketing for Tes’ safeguarding portfolio, which includes MyConcern, Clarity, and Tes Safeguarding Training. This role will also have a strategic remit to help shape the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Tes Spark, our integrated whole child solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Lead end-to-end go-to-market strategies for MyConcern, Clarity, and Tes Safeguarding Training across the UK and international markets. Play a strategic role in the GTM planning for Tes Spark, influencing positioning and market activation for the broader whole child solution. Translate business objectives into comprehensive marketing plans that drive awareness, acquisition, and retention. Develop integrated, multi-channel campaigns across digital, paid, content, events, and direct marketing. Ensure all campaigns are aligned with commercial priorities and have clear, measurable outcomes. Define clear, differentiated positioning for the safeguarding portfolio, tailored to the needs of safeguarding leads, DSLs, headteachers, and trust executives. Develop messaging frameworks for Tes Spark that communicate the value of an integrated whole child solution. Ensure consistency and impact across all customer touchpoints, including sales enablement materials, web content, and external communications.
- Content Development & Thought Leadership: Collaborate with Creative and Comms teams to deliver high-quality content including guides, whitepapers, blogs, webinars, and case studies. Establish Tes as a trusted voice in safeguarding and whole child approaches, providing resources and insights that help schools meet compliance obligations and improve pupil outcomes.
- Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis: Maintain a deep understanding of safeguarding regulations, compliance requirements, and evolving policy landscapes in the UK and internationally. Track competitor activity and market trends, sharing insights to inform both marketing strategy and product roadmaps. Provide actionable intelligence to Sales, Product, and leadership teams to ensure Tes stays ahead of the market. Develop sales enablement tools including battlecards, pitch decks, and ROI calculators to support commercial growth. Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Operations to align on go-to-market execution. Support key external partnerships and alliances that extend product reach and strengthen market presence.
- Performance, Analytics, and Reporting: Use analytics tools including Looker, Google Analytics, Salesforce, and other platforms to track and optimise campaign performance. Provide regular reporting on marketing effectiveness and ROI, offering recommendations for improvement. Ensure marketing plans are always data-driven and outcome-focused.
What will you need to succeed?
- Experience: 5+ years’ experience in product marketing, audience marketing, or brand strategy, ideally within EdTech, SaaS, or compliance-focused sectors. Demonstrated success in launching and growing B2B products in the education market, with experience working with schools, trusts, and safeguarding leads. Proven track record of delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, paid, content, events, and direct marketing. Experience managing and influencing cross-functional teams, driving alignment between Product, Sales, Customer Operations, and marketing functions. Comfortable working at pace in a complex, fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of safeguarding compliance, policies, and challenges faced by schools and trusts in the UK and internationally. Knowledge of school operations, including behaviour, attendance, parent engagement, and individual learning plan management. Familiarity with go-to-market planning for integrated technology solutions and subscription models. Solid understanding of brand marketing, lifecycle marketing, and measurement of campaign performance and ROI. Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, Looker, Google Analytics, and marketing automation platforms.
- Skills: Exceptional storytelling, copywriting, and messaging development skills, with the ability to translate complex safeguarding and whole child solutions into clear, compelling narratives. Strategic thinker with strong organisational, planning, and campaign management skills. Data-driven and commercially minded, with a test-and-learn approach to driving growth and retention. Excellent influencing and relationship-building abilities, with a collaborative and empathetic working style. Ability to simplify and communicate complex compliance and safeguarding concepts for diverse audiences, from safeguarding leads to senior trust executives.
- Qualifications: Degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, or equivalent experience. Additional certifications in product marketing, digital marketing, or safeguarding-related fields (desirable).
