Role overview: At Tes we’re committed to supporting teachers and schools worldwide through innovative digital products and services. As a Junior Scrum Master, you will play an important role in supporting Agile delivery within one of our product teams. Working closely with Product Managers, engineers and designers, you will help ensure that teams are set up to deliver high-quality outcomes that have a meaningful impact on education. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at an early stage in their Agile career who is keen to develop your skills in facilitation, team coaching and delivery within a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the effective delivery of Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
- Help teams maintain a consistent and sustainable delivery cadence
- Work with Product Owners and team members to ensure backlogs are clear, prioritised and ready for development
- Track team progress using Agile tools and provide visibility of delivery through standard metrics
- Identify and highlight any blockers or risks to delivery, escalating where appropriate
- Support the team in driving continuous improvement by capturing and following up on retrospective actions
- Encourage collaboration, accountability and a positive team culture aligned to Agile principles
- Contribute to clear and transparent communication between teams and stakeholders
What will you need to succeed?
- A good understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework
- 1-2 years’ experience as a Scrum master for a team
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a collaborative approach to working
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn and develop
- Ability to build positive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar
- An interest in education and the impact technology can have in this space
- A Scrum certification (CSM, PSM I), or a desire to work towards one
