Role overview:

As NetSuite Business Analyst, you play a critical role in helping leverage NetSuite and other finance systems to manage the delivery of Tes' systems and business strategy. Integration with other key systems and platforms is integral to the company's digital transformational journey. Reporting into the NetSuite Lead, you liaise primarily with the Finance department but work as part of cross-functional teams on a project basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a driving member of key strategic system projects where NetSuite plays a pivotal role.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders effectively to understand Finance related business needs and elicit requirements.
  • Documentation and modelling of the NetSuite and Finance related requirements, producing clear requirements documentation, utilising a range of techniques including user stories, use cases, ERD, and BPMN.
  • Facilitating solutions via analysis of requirements, exploration of potential solutions, prototyping and presentation of recommendations.
  • Documenting agreed solutions into development tasks for delivery.
  • Contribute to end-to-end test plan creation, scenarios and scripts. Validating that solutions meet requirements.
  • User Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to end-users, ensuring they are proficient in using NetSuite effectively.
  • Proactively seeking and proposing continuous improvement opportunities to the technical team and Finance team based on experience.
  • Working in an agile development environment: Attending sprint planning/retrospective and daily stand-up meetings, and documenting progress in Tes' backlog management tool.
  • Carrying out NetSuite configuration and development work, where appropriate.
  • Following and promoting development best practices, including employing quality assurance methods such as unit, user acceptance and regression testing.
  • Understanding and safeguarding the technical architecture, integrity and performance of Tes' NetSuite instances and other integrated systems. You must assess the impact that work carried out in NetSuite might have in the wider technical landscape at Tes.

What will you need to succeed?

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in Business Analyst or similar roles
  • Demonstrable experience with NetSuite administration, configuration or development
  • NetSuite Integration with other systems/platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Stripe)
  • Working in an Agile environment
  • Working with backlog management tools

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Finance and accounting systems and processes. AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, Month end etc. is essential
  • Knowledge of Education and SaaS industries is desirable
