TES is an award-winning environmental engineering company, specialising in Water Treatment and Power Distribution solutions. We are seeking a talented Planner of Works to join our team and support the successful delivery of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Programme Development & Management: Create, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Resource Planning: Allocate and optimise labour, plant, and material resources to meet project demands and improve productivity.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track progress against baseline programmes, highlight risks and delays and provide accurate progress reports, forecasts, recovery plans, and Earned Value analysis to management, clients, and stakeholders.
- Coordination & Communication: Collaborate with design, engineering, commercial, and construction teams, as well as contractors and sub-contractors, to ensure programmes are realistic, integrated, and achievable.
- Risk & Change Management: Assess the impact of design or scope changes, perform time-risk analysis, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure planning practices comply with NEC contract principles, company standards, and industry best practice.
- Software Utilisation: Apply advanced skills in MS Project and Primavera P6 to manage schedules, dependencies, critical paths, resource/cost loading, and reporting outputs.
- Tender Support: Produce tender programmes and contribute to bid deliverables to support business development.
Essential Criteria
- Hold a relevant qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Planner/Planner of Works within the construction and engineering sectors.
- Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, including design, delivery, and commissioning.
- Experienced in MS Project and Primavera P6, skilled in preparing and managing detailed project schedules, reports, and presentations, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the water treatment sector or a closely connected industry.
- Working knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, and CECA contract mechanisms would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
