Due to the continued growth and expansion of the company TES, we have an opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical estimation, from initial client enquiry through to project handover.
- Review client specifications, drawings, and tender documentation to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates.
- Produce detailed technical and commercial quotations aligned with client requirements.
- Liaise with design engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and technical input.
- Work closely with contracts managers and project teams to ensure estimates are realistic and achievable.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options within tenders.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company procedures, ISO Quality & Environmental standards, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and cost databases.
Essential Criteria
- Ideally 3+ years’ relevant experience in a Mechanical Estimator or Process Engineering role; however, we also welcome applications from recent graduates with a strong interest in this field.
- Proven experience with pumping and pipework systems is essential.
- Experience in a similar industry is desirable.
- Innovative approach to work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Desired Criteria
- Experience working with NI Water, Uisce Éireann or similar water utility companies.
- Knowledge of WIMES standards.

About The Role
