Main Responsibilities
- Conduct technical training sessions (theoretical and practical) on LV/MV/HV switchgear
- Explain operating principles, protection schemes, and control logic
- Deliver in-house training on all required high value aspects of assembly process and checks
- Provide regular troubleshooting and fault‑analysis training
- Ensure training complies with safety regulations and standards
- Develop and update training materials, presentations, manuals, and assessments
- Customize training programs based on customer or project requirements
- Prepare practical lab exercises and demonstrations
- Maintain training equipment and test setups
- Support internal teams and customers with technical clarifications
- Assist during commissioning, testing, or troubleshooting when required
- Stay updated with new technologies, standards, and product developments
- Emphasize electrical safety, arc‑flash prevention, and lockout/tagout (LOTO)
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and relevant local standards
The Person
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role with hands‑on experience with switchgear systems and manufacturing build processes.
- Competent knowledge of LV/MV/HV switchgear and protection relays
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Hands‑on troubleshooting and fault‑finding expertise
- Knowledge of protection relays (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, GE, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, and technical documentation
Desirable
- OEM or utility experience
- Prior training or teaching experience
- Certifications related to switchgear, protection, or safety
- Familiarity with GIS/AIS and digital substations
- Experience with testing equipment (IR, breaker timing, relay testing, etc.)
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
