Overview

Visiting Singing Teacher – Self-Employed, Part-time, Term-Time Only. Whitgift is a leading independent day and boarding school for boys, with approximately 1500 pupils and a 48-acre campus in South Croydon. The Music Department includes four vocal ensembles, as well as the Choristers and Choral Scholars who sing several times per week at Croydon Minster. The post reports to the Director of Music.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and develop singing across the Music Department in a vibrant and successful team.
  • Collaborate with vocal ensembles, Choristers, and Choral Scholars as part of the department’s activities.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular programme and support students in achieving high musical and personal standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Enthusiastic and well-qualified singing teacher with the ability to work within a team and to engage students across age ranges.
  • Experience with vocal ensembles and choral activities is desirable (as indicated by existing ensembles and choristers in the department).

  • Self-Employed, Part-time, Term-Time Only.
