About The Role
As a Teacher of Economics, you will deliver a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum that supports students in achieving their full academic and personal potential. You’ll play a key role in curriculum development, quality assurance, and pastoral care, while contributing to the school’s strategic objectives and ethos.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Economics at KS5, using varied and stimulating methods
- Monitor student progress and provide high-quality feedback and support
- Contribute to curriculum planning, development and review
- Support students’ personal development as a Form Tutor or Co Tutor
- Engage with parents, external agencies and colleagues to promote student welfare
- Participate in school events, open evenings, and liaison activities
- Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies to ensure a safe learning environment

- A qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge in Economics
- A candidate who can also offer teaching in a Social Science subject is particularly desirable, for example Psychology or Sociology
