We are seeking a Teacher of Mathematics to join The Matthew Arnold School, part of Bourne Education Trust. Our teachers are responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class, ensuring equity of opportunity for all, achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct. All teachers are required to carry out the professional duties and responsibilities of a school teacher as defined by the Teachers’ Standards and the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document.

Position: Teacher of Mathematics
Contract: Full time, permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: Teachers Main to Upper Pay Scale (Fringe: £34,398 – £46,839)

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability of the classes you teach, preparing and developing teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate
- Provide pupils with regular feedback, both in real time and through accurate marking, encouraging pupils to respond to the feedback and reflect on progress
- Manage classes effectively, using approaches appropriate to pupils’ needs to inspire, motivate and challenge
- Engage and contribute as a member of the wider school team, planning collaboratively and sharing information and best practice
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Awareness of safeguarding and commitment to the protection of children
- Evidence of effective continuous professional development and IT skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience coordinating a subject/phase
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2 Mathematics
