Job Overview

The Stephen Longfellow Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Student Welfare Officer. This role is crucial to our Academy’s operations, with the successful candidate anticipated to deliver short-term, evidence-based interventions while adapting flexibly to address the needs and wellbeing of students.

Required to start: ASAP. Start date to be agreed with the successful candidate.

Role details: Student Welfare Officer (SO1, SCP 23–28).

Salary: Actual Salary £29,747 - £31,413. SO1 (SCP 23–28) £34,434 - £36,363.

Contract: 37 hours per week, term time only + 5 days.

Potential Applicants Should Have

  • A relevant level 3 qualification or willing to work towards.
  • A patient and resilient attitude coupled with the ability to maintain calm whilst under pressure.
  • Experience of working with students who have challenging behaviour.

The Stephen Longfellow Academy is part of The GORSE Academies Trust; a nationally renowned, not-for-profit charity whose drive is to create exceptional schools.
