Salary: GRADE 1C, POINT 2: £15,972.11 (FTE £25.854.00)
26 HOURS PER WEEK, 39 WEEKS PER YEAR (TERM-TIME ONLY)

Shirley High School has been under new leadership since September 2019. During that time we have become one of the most improved schools in the area, made significant investment in improving and promoting a positive learning environment and recently achieved “Good” in all categories in our latest Ofsted inspection.

Student Support Assistant required to support students aged from 11 – 18 years of age with specific learning needs. Your support will be required in the classroom as well as on a one to one basis for 26 hours per week, term time only. We wish to appoint an enthusiastic individual to work within our Inclusion and Student Support Department.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- No previous experience necessary;
- Effective use of ICT and other specialist equipment/resources;
- Very good numeracy/literacy skills;
- Ability to relate well to children and adults;
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these;
- Willingness to participate in development and training opportunities.
