The role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our team as School Business Manager. You will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the smooth running of the school’s business operations, enabling staff and students to thrive in an environment with access to excellent resources and facilities.
Hours : 36 per week / 52 weeks per year (full-time).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic financial management of the school, overseeing the finance team, cover provision, admin functions, and external contracts
- Manage the whole school and departmental budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting to SLT and governors
- Ensure best value for money by overseeing all external contracts
- Support the school in achieving its vision of high-quality education by promoting excellent business practice and maximising resource efficiency
The Ideal Candidate
- Business Management Accreditation and Extensive experience in this area
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Financially astute with extensive experience managing budgets and contracts
- A strategic thinker who can balance operational demands with long-term goals
