Required ASAP, an Admin Assistant to join an exciting Secondary School that opened in 2012. Riverside School serves the growing Barking Riverside community on the banks of the Thames in superb newly-built accommodation and is already fully subscribed.
Main Activities:
- Greeting and directing visitors.
- Handling incoming calls, taking messages, and responding to inquiries via telephone, email, and in person.
- Ensuring visitors sign in and out, issuing visitor passes, and monitoring access to the school as needed.
- Ensuring the reception area is tidy, welcoming, and informative.
- Liaison with parents under the direction of the pastoral team.
- Maintenance and stock control of stationery supplies.
- Medical Room duties: Assessing the medical and welfare needs of students, administering front-line first aid, supporting students with ongoing medical needs in line with their Individual Health Care Plans, administering approved medication, and maintaining records and reports, including statutory requirements.
The above duties are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the post holder will be required to carry out other appropriate duties as may be required by the Headteacher within the grading level of the post and the competence of the post holder.

All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check, digital screening, satisfactory references, and medical clearance. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
