Job Overview
The role of the Head’s PA is to fully support the Head with all of their organisational and administrative requirements together with elements of wider school administration. The Head’s PA will work closely with the PA to the Head Senior School and PA to the Head of Finance and Resources, as well as oversee all administrative functions of the Junior School.

The role of the Head’s PA is to fully support the Head with all of their organisational and administrative requirements together with elements of wider school administration. The Head’s PA will work closely with the PA to the Head Senior School and PA to the Head of Finance and Resources, as well as oversee all administrative functions of the Junior School.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the Head’s busy and complex diary and prioritising the Head’s time, ensuring that meetings are arranged with consideration for various priorities as well as ensuring the most effective use of the Head’s time.
- Acting as point of contact for students, staff, parents and visitors to the Head’s Study and dealing with all enquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Overseeing incoming emails, post and phone calls, prioritising and helping to draft responses where appropriate.
- Responding to routine/confidential correspondence both electronically and on paper
- Organising the Head’s paperwork as required for meetings etc
- Managing shared drives and other forms of file storage, ensuring materials are organised in an efficient manner.
- Attending meetings as required, taking accurate notes and distributing agreed minutes and action points.
- Organising events as required.
- Providing administrative assistance on key priorities for JLT
- Attendance at all Open Events and assisting with preparation as required
- Working in partnership with the JS administration team, overseeing the support they offer to the school community and enhancing the professional customer-facing role on our Reception desks
- Working with the HR team during the process of appointments to manage the Head’s involvement
- Using a range of office software to ensure the efficient running of the office
- Filing and archiving accurate records
- Support the administration team on reception as required
This position is full time, term time only permanent position starting September 2025.
