Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality one-to-one piano lessons to pupils from KS2 to Sixth Form.
- Prepare students for performances, exams (ABRSM, Trinity, etc.), and competitions.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and the Head of Music regarding progress and scheduling.
- Contribute to the musical life of the school, including concerts and events where appropriate.
Requirements
- Able to teach Graded piano exams across all major boards with theory knowledge up to Grade 8 standard.
- Proven experience teaching piano to children and young people.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to tailor lessons to individual needs and learning styles.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Self-employed status with appropriate insurance and safeguarding training.
