AIM North London is an 11-19 mixed, multi-cultural Academy in Enfield. We have just over 600 students, with a proportion of students eligible for the pupil premium significantly higher than the national average. AIM North London has been a part of AIM Academies Trust since 2019 and the school has been on an incredible journey over the last four years. We are delighted that our first three sets of published GCSE outcomes in the Summers of 2022, 23 and 24 make us the most improved school in North London. Our recent OFSTED report (December 2023) judged the school to be âGoodâ in all categories for the first time in the schoolâs history. Pupilsâ behaviour and attitudes towards their school, each other and staff was highly praised: âpupils feel happy and safe here, demonstrating a sense of pride towards their schoolâ and âpupils show respect to staff and to each other.â Our âclear and consistent routinesâ which âensure pupils behave well and focus on their learning within a calm and purposeful environmentâ were commended. Teachers were also recognised for their âexpert knowledge of the subjects they teachâ which they âuse to design pupilsâ learningâ and âhigh expectations of all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)â. School leaders were praised by the inspection team for âconsidering the workload and well-being of staff when making decisionsâ and implementing a âcoaching modelâ so teachers can âlearn from each otherâs practiceâ. Inspectors said school leaders had âidentified the key knowledge they want pupils to know and remember and thought carefully about the order they teach subject contentâ. This is an incredibly rewarding role where you can make a real difference to our students. You will be supporting Year Leads and other Pastoral Leaders by facilitating studentsâ academic, social and pastoral development. You will achieve this by maintaining student discipline, promoting good attendance, and providing students with high levels of pastoral care whilst educating them on the importance of adherence to the Academyâs rules for students. You will create good relationships with parents to build preventative and early intervention strategies, empowering them to get the most out of the education opportunities and services available to them.
You will be looking for a rewarding role within an organisation that believes in high standards. Youâll be excited by the idea of working within a small multi-cultural environment and you will be able to operate with the utmost professional integrity and humility. You will have experience of supporting young people in an education or a youth and community environment and have familiarity in conducting investigations or interviews.
