Outwood Academy Foxhills, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire is within easy reach of Lincoln, Grimsby and the east of Doncaster. It\’s most recent Ofsted inspection in November 2022 obtaining the grading of Outstanding in all areas.
Outwood Academy Foxhills, as part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust is right at the forefront of maths education, both in terms of ensuring students are taught maths for deep understanding, and in enabling every student to leave school with a maths qualification that opens doors for them. We have a curriculum that allows for this and the training and support for teachers to feel confident to facilitate this for all.
Our Senior Director leads the Yorkshire and Humber Maths Hub. This, as well as her work with the DfE, means OGAT maths is helping to inform and mould the landscape of maths, regionally and nationally.
We have a great training package for ECTs and teachers new to the academy including: Teaching for Mastery; Open Classroom events; Maths Matters; TSST; Reasoning at KS3; weekly professional development time and further programmes free through the Outwood Institute of Education. We invest in you so you invest in our students.
