Job Overview

Learning Services Assistant – Term-Time Only

Contract: Fixed-term until the last working day of the 2025/26 academic year (with potential for extension, subject to funding and student need)

Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm (Term Time Only)

Salary: Scale point 8 £25,330.00 (Actual £21,482.37)

Start Date: 20th October 2025

Location: The Sixth Form Bolton, Deane Road, Bolton, BL3 5BU

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Learning Services Assistant to join our dedicated Learning Services team. You will play a key role in supporting students with a range of developmental needs and/or disabilities, helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing help for students in navigating the building
  • Working closely with class teachers to facilitate students’ learning
  • Providing personal care to students as required
  • Supporting the evaluation and monitoring of students’ progress to ensure successful outcomes
