Job Overview
Salford City Academy has an exciting opportunity to appoint a Lead Practitioner in Maths. We wish to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher who is also an outstanding leader. The Lead Practitioner for Maths will work alongside the Curriculum Leader and Second in Department for the subject to take the department into the next phase of their development. The role is also an exciting opportunity to develop teaching and learning across wider departments, working as part of the teaching and learning team at SCA. An additional whole-school teaching and learning responsibility can be discussed for the right candidate.
The Maths department has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with our latest set of GCSE Maths results in line with or above national average for Grade 4+ and amongst the best in Salford. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, supportive, and experienced team with improving the life chances for our students at the core of their values. The Maths team comprises of 9 teachers and an HLTA.

The successful candidate will be dedicated in the delivery of high-quality teaching with the aim of helping students develop a broad base of knowledge and skills. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and communicate this in an enthusiastic and imaginative way in lessons.
