Job Role - IT Technician


Role Summary


Under the supervision of the Cluster IT Manager, deliver ICT support to staff, students, and stakeholders, ensuring network, systems, and devices operate optimally to support teaching and learning. You will manage the IT systems of Hartshill Academy supported by the IT Cluster Manager.


Key Responsibilities


Operations and Maintenance

  • Maintain the school\'s ICT infrastructure and equipment for optimal use.
  • Repair hardware and software within your capabilities.
  • Ensure health and safety of equipment, including transit, assembly, dismantling, cleaning, and storage.
  • Check, clean, secure, and maintain classroom equipment.
  • Set up hardware/peripherals and install software as needed.
  • Assist with student and staff access and password management.
  • Adhere to all regulations and policies.

Ongoing Development of ICT Services

  • Stay updated with ICT developments through training and research.
  • Understand and adhere to UL Technology Policies.

Planning and Documentation

  • Document fixes and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in preparing maintenance plans.
  • Create FAQs and guidance documents.

Communication

  • Provide courteous notes and responses to support tickets.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
