Hampstead Hill School is a thriving independent Nursery and Prep school in North London. We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Early Years educator to lead our well-established department as Head of Early Years.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team committed to helping each child flourish and fulfil their potential. The Head of Early Years will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of our Early Years and Pre-Reception provision, overseeing four classes for 2–3 year olds and four Pre-Reception classes for 3–4 year olds.
The Successful Candidate Will
- Have strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework
- Demonstrate proven leadership experience in an Early Years setting
- Be familiar with ISI inspection frameworks and expectations
- Communicate clearly with staff and parents
- Be committed to promoting curiosity, kindness and respect in school life
Requirements
- Minimum Level 5 qualification in Early Years Education or an Early Years degree
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Early Years setting or 2 years in a leadership or management role
- Proven experience delivering high-quality Early Years teaching
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child development
- Confidence in leading a team and driving improvement
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Working Hours
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Shift pattern: 7:45am–4:30pm and 8:45am–5:30pm (on alternate days)
