Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed professional to join us as a Deputy Headteacher.

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Be an active participant in the school leadership team.
  • Lead by example, holding and articulating clear values and moral purpose, and focusing on providing excellent education for all pupils.
  • Assist the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and management of the school.
  • Assist the Headteacher in the day-to-day organisation and management of the school.
  • Support and/or represent the Headteacher at meetings as required.
  • Deputise for the Headteacher in their absence, undertaking professional duties as required.
  • Undertake duties delegated by the Headteacher.
  • Be responsible for the standards and curriculum of all pupils, including monitoring progress towards achievement.
  • Manage staff and resources within the school.
  • Play a major role in formulating, implementing, and reviewing the School Development Plan under the Headteacher\'s overall direction.
  • Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

We are a small independent school supporting students who have experienced difficulties accessing education. We are committed to engaging students with a broad curriculum, including GCSEs, BTECs, and functional skills, alongside adventurous subjects like water sports, mountain biking, archery, and horse-riding.
