24 hours per week – mornings, working pattern tbc
St Michael\'s Term time plus INSET days (total 34 weeks pa)
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who will assist and provide 1:1 support to one of our wonderful children with additional needs, who is moving into Year 7 in September. We are looking for applicants experienced in working with SEN children and with a particular focus on social and emotional mental health, who are committed to helping provide an inclusive education and who are passionate about improving the outcomes for all students.
The successful candidate will be kind, caring and confident with the ability to quickly assess the child’s needs. Working closely with the Teachers and the Learning Development Team to ensure that the child’s needs are met at every level. They will follow recommendations from various health care professionals and incorporate these into the school day, feeding back to the Class Teacher, Learning Development Team and SLT when necessary.
This post is linked with the pupil and is classed as fixed term as it will end when the child leaves the school.

NVQ3 qualified salary is £12,289.21 per annum pro rata (£26,991 FTE)
Non-NVQ3 salary is £11,563.45 per annum pro rata (£25,397 FTE)
NB. These rates are applicable to those aged 23 or over, applicants below the age of 23 would have an adjusted salary in line with national minimum wage rates.
