The Interventional Systems division (TIS) delivers innovative, high-quality solutions for cardiac and vascular surgery, as well as interventional procedures. We focus on minimally invasive therapies that reduce the physical burden on patients. Our portfolio includes diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for Interventional Cardiology (IC), Peripheral Intervention (PI), and Interventional Oncology (IO).

We're currently seeking an Account Manager with strong experience in the interventional cardiology field to join our UK sales team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving growth across the West Midlands territory, promoting our cutting‑edge product portfolio and delivering tailored solutions to healthcare providers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Product & Market Expertise: Build thorough knowledge of Terumo’s product range, corporate strategy, and objectives. Maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics, competitors, and the local NHS environment.
  • Sales & Business Development: Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and profitability objectives within your territory. Develop and implement effective account plans and sales strategies. Demonstrate strong negotiation skills, always working toward a win‑win outcome. Support new product introductions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across hospitals and cardiac centres. Provide clinical training, product support, and guidance in best practices for product usage. Respond to customer feedback and ensure a high standard of service. Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Reporting & Communication: Regularly report on market developments, account activities, and competitor intelligence. Deliver timely, insightful sales reports and updates to the Sales Manager. Take ownership of projects and initiatives as agreed with management.
  • Professional Representation: Represent Terumo professionally in the field and at industry events. Work cross-functionally with Customer Services, Marketing, and other Terumo departments. Manage your own time effectively and maintain excellent organizational practices.

Profile Description

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 4 years of successful experience in a sales role, preferably in Interventional Cardiology (PCI).
  • Prior experience working in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting (e.g. Radiographer, Cardiac Physiologist).
  • Strong clinical and technical knowledge of cardiology‑related devices and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • A deep understanding of the NHS and its evolving landscape.
  • Self‑motivated, accountable, and proactive with strong time‑management skills.
