Terumo BCT is a global leader in blood management, blood safety, therapeutic apheresis, cell therapy and cell collections. We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehousing, Logistics & Inventory Manager to join Terumo BCT - Larne. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to take on managerial oversight of warehousing, logistics & inventory functions at our Larne site.

As the champion of operational excellence for Larne Supply Chain, you will play a key role in optimising and streamlining our supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency and excellence in every aspect of warehousing, logistics, and inventory management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage material flow processes, both physical & system driven, ensuring a customer driven service model.
  • Ensure procedures and ways of working deliver year on year, rectifying any deviations in a timely manner with measures put in place to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Apply in-depth advanced knowledge and expertise to identify and troubleshoot problems with all material related issues to best meet business needs and objectives.
  • Execute on-time receiving and shipping activity to ensure best in class customer service experience.
  • Manage shipping processes to ensure reduced lead times and inventory holding for the operation.
  • Drive continual year on year improvement.
  • Work with Procurement & Production Planning to ensure effectiveness of materials supply, safety stock and robustness of inventory records.
  • Drive a continuous improvement ethos across process, procedures & people, across both internal & external teams, to deliver a high level of cost and service improvements.
  • Deliver and maintain a perpetual inventory process.
  • Develop flexible cross-departmental resource training matrix to ensure functional flexibility & business stability.
  • Drive process improvements to facilitate automated product and materials flows throughout the facility.
  • Embrace and drive technology to deliver cost, service, and traceability enhancements.
  • Support and develop positive relations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Execute regular business reviews and QBRs to formally manage a positive relationship.
  • Ensure effective line management for associates within your remit, ensuring their continued professional development and effective support to the business.
  • Introduce and drive LEAN materials management principles, eliminating waste & cost where appropriate.
  • Comply with and continue to enhance all relevant Health and Safety & company regulations/policies across your remit.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators relating to warehousing, inventory, & logistics.
  • Drive corrective action plan to improve where necessary.
  • Maintain relationships with other Terumo BCT leaders in the USA, Vietnam, India, and Japan to explore and share best practices.
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably required by your manager.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • 3rd Level Qualification in relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years inventory management (including logistics) experience gained within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and inventory management techniques.
  • Experience of Master Data Governance, within an integrated ERP system.
  • Experience of project management for the implementation of new processes and systems.

  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Able to work accurately and to deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of H & S legislation & good manufacturing practice.
