We are currently looking to recruit a Twilight Manufacturing Sewing Shift Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and grow your career within a global organisation. This is a Monday to Thursday backshift pattern consisting of three 12:00pm to 10:00pm shifts and one 1:00pm to 10:00pm shift.

The key duties of the role include:

  • Hit the Plan: Meet daily, weekly and monthly targets; support the on-time delivery of assigned projects; maintain standard work practices across all processes; manage area resource capacity to meet targets; support short-term changes, utilising resources to maintain efficiency; provide daily updates against SIM reporting metrics.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Manage headcount, equipment and materials to meet the financial plan; monitor monthly cost performance against plan and highlight variances.
  • Environmental Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and compliant working environment; achieve safety goals; report accidents and hazards promptly; monitor accidents and hazards to identify trends; review COSHH and risk assessments promptly to reflect current regulations.
  • Quality and Compliance: Maintain compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS); achieve quality goals; ensure a constant state of audit readiness; manufacture all products in line with quality requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and highlight key areas for process improvement review; support operational improvement activities and the implementation of new technologies; drive collaboration across the area; understand the drivers of customer value; support short interval management (SIM).
  • People Management: Coach and develop staff; complete performance management reviews in line with the annual schedule; develop high-performing teams; identify and address the leadership, development and training needs of the team; ensure adequate resources and skills are available to deliver the target output; provide daily communication to all staff.
  • Culture: Demonstrate and promote the company’s core values and embrace change.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • OS2 Practitioner (Bronze Equivalent)
  • IOSHH Managing Safely
  • Experience of operating within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • High level of documentation management (GDP & cGMP)
  • Experience in 5’s; Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing
