Terumo Aortic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Research and Development Technician on an FTC for 12 months. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and manufacturing small quantities of vascular grafts, stent grafts, and delivery systems using standard production methods. This role requires close collaboration with our product development teams throughout the product lifecycle and involves participation in project meetings and various cross‑functional activities.

Key Duties

  • Design and manufacture small quantities of vascular grafts, stent grafts, and delivery systems under the guidance of product development teams.
  • Create assessment reports and feedback data to product development teams.
  • Liaise with product development teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Participate in project meetings to ensure smooth progress and alignment.
  • Provide training and support during product transfer to cleanrooms.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation.
  • Collaborate with QC and manufacturing departments to aid in process improvement projects for all product areas.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Hand Sewing Experience: Essential for precise and quality manufacturing of medical devices.
  • Materials and Processes Knowledge: Experience with materials and processes required for stent graft manufacture, including the gel‑coating process.
  • Medical Device Manufacture Experience: Previous experience in the manufacture of medical devices is required.
  • MS Office Applications: Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • SolidWorks Knowledge: Working knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software is desirable.
  • Mastercontrol System: Familiarity with Mastercontrol system for quality and compliance management.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and a proactive work ethic are essential.
