We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Research and Development Technician. The successful candidate will aid the development of Class III medical devices in accordance with relevant procedures through provision of test support. This role requires close collaboration with our product development teams throughout the product lifecycle and involves participation in project meetings and various cross‑functional activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Under supervision perform mechanical and chemical testing as part of verification and validation efforts in the development of vascular medical devices.
- Operate and maintain scientific equipment such as mechanical testing units, lab microscopes, analytical equipment, balances.
- Creation of test protocols and reports following established templates.
- Liaise with product development teams throughout product development lifecycle.
- Participate in project meetings.
- Liaise with manufacturing engineers during design transfer and process validation stages of the product development lifecycle.
- Ensure that Product Development Laboratories are kept clean and in compliance with Health and Safety regulations at all times.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Technical degree or qualification desirable.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent desirable.
- Knowledge of Basic Statistical tools and data plotting (Excel based).
- Working knowledge of MasterControl system desirable.
