Terumo Aortic are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Custom Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of custom devices, managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet strict deadlines. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, innovative thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and development of custom devices
- Manage and prioritise workload across a number of live custom device cases to meet strict deadlines
- Innovation of new ideas & evaluation of concepts
- Problem solving
- Process development and continuous improvement
- Test development (Test protocols)
- Verification & Validation
- Risk Analysis
- Report writing
- Working to relevant quality standards
- Generation of Engineering Drawings
- Generation of Bills of Materials
- Liaising with other relevant departments
- Presenting to and participating in discussions with clinicians on technical and general design/process matters
Qualifications & Experience:
- BEng/BSc (or Equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development Engineering or relevant discipline
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Clear and efficient communication skills
- Planning & organising skills with ability to work to deadlines
- Effective decision maker
- Effective presentation skills
- Ability to document work in line with Design control & Quality systems including FMEA
- Strong experience in relevant field
