Terumo Aortic are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Custom Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of custom devices, managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet strict deadlines. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, innovative thinking, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of custom devices
  • Manage and prioritise workload across a number of live custom device cases to meet strict deadlines
  • Innovation of new ideas & evaluation of concepts
  • Problem solving
  • Process development and continuous improvement
  • Test development (Test protocols)
  • Verification & Validation
  • Risk Analysis
  • Report writing
  • Working to relevant quality standards
  • Generation of Engineering Drawings
  • Generation of Bills of Materials
  • Liaising with other relevant departments
  • Presenting to and participating in discussions with clinicians on technical and general design/process matters

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BEng/BSc (or Equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Clear and efficient communication skills
  • Planning & organising skills with ability to work to deadlines
  • Effective decision maker
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Ability to document work in line with Design control & Quality systems including FMEA
  • Strong experience in relevant field
