At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We are looking for an Asbestos Consultant who will carry out specialist asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a range of property types.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct asbestos sampling, reinspections, Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys on a wide range of domestic, commercial and industrial properties in accordance with HSG264 and company procedures.
  • Carry out additional duties including collecting site data, transport of asbestos samples to UKAS-accredited laboratories approved by the company, and completing asbestos survey reports and drawings using company software.
  • Conduct air monitoring and 4-stage clearance procedures in line with HSG248 and our UKAS-accredited procedures.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, providing specialist advice and technical support when required.
  • Liaise with the Asbestos Surveying Quality, Contracts, Projects Managers and Supervisor as and when required, and liaise with clients where necessary.
  • Set a personal example and generally promote the company in a professional manner at all times.

Required Qualifications:

  • BOHS P402 qualified (or equivalent).
  • BOHS P403/P404 qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of asbestos surveying across domestic, commercial and/or industrial sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSG264 and HSG248.
  • Strong knowledge of site analytical and removal practices.
  • Familiarity with TEAMS useful but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Committed to delivering high standards while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
